- Higher maintenance demands, with aging monitors of different brands and resolutions.
The shipowner required a modern, streamlined, and highly reliable visualization solution that would simplify operations while reducing hardware footprint and power consumption.
At the heart of this transformation is the deployment of 4K Colibrí Mini Quad-Split KVM, a professional compact video processor with KVM functionalities, tailored to meet the dynamic demands of modern seafaring.
Project Objective
To design and implement a unified control bridge that simplifies access to critical shipboard systems—ranging from radar and sonar to navigation and CCTV—while ensuring an intuitive operator experience. The ultimate goal: maximize situational awareness and minimize cognitive load for crew members navigating complex and often hazardous marine environments, while reducing hardware footprint and power consumption.
The Solution: 4K Colibri Mini Quad-KVM Integration
The bridge was upgraded with two large 43” UHD displays combined with our 4K Colibrí HDMI Quad-Split KVM units connected in cascade. This setup replaced the seven old displays, consolidating all critical information into two large, high-resolution screens.
